ONE TO ONE
DISCIPLESHIP:
Kingdom
Partners is a One on One discipleship plan to help believers
link up for foundational Bible study.
We help
believers partner together, to meet at a predetermined time
and place, in order to grow in the Word of God, encourage
and pray for one another.
The goal is for a believer to gain an understanding of what they can expect from God, and what God expects of them. The goal is to unlock the promises of God, so a person can understand how Christianity is relavant to every aspect of life.
Roger
Cooke was raised in a Christian family, and accepted Jesus as his savior at age 11, and was baptized in the Holy Spirit at age 16.
At age 22, he enrolled in college, and was trained as a commercial illustrator. He has made a living as an artist for 39 years, first as an illustrator, then as a painter, sculptor, and muralist.
He and his wife of 38 years, Edna, attended East Hill Foursquare Church from 1972 to 1981, then helped to establish Living Way Fellowship in 1981, where they have attended ever since. They have been active in many different leadership roles, but they feel that the most affective role is one to one discipling. They have three sons and a daughter.
If you are interested in partnering with someone to help develop your faith please fill out the following form or contact Roger Cooke(503-622-4228).
\We are looking for mature, stable, Christian men, women and couples that are committed to Living Way Fellowship and
desire to invest their lives and faith into the lives of others.
LWF Mentors are connected, man with man, woman with woman, or in some cases, couple to couple. The goal is to meet once a week at a time and place that would be convenient to both parties. Commitment to meeting once a week is important, with allowances for emergencies. We've found the discipleship process is not successful when meetings are sporadic.
Discipleship partners are not always new Christians. Sometimes a partner is a person who has been a Christian for a while, but needs help in a certain area; like a couple who needs help in their marriage.
If you'd like to become a mentor please call Roger Cooke (503-622-4228) or contact the LWF office. You can also submit the following form to Roger Cooke. Thank you for considering this process.
